Fatherhood Is Sacred / Motherhood Is Sacred Program
An event every week that begins at 2:00 pm on Thursday, repeating until December 10, 2026
Our Fatherhood Is Sacred / Motherhood Is Sacred program is back for another round. This 12-week group therapy program is designed to strengthen families through the Native American Fatherhood and Families Association (NAFFA) model. It focuses on cultural values, responsible parenting, and reconnecting with heritage.
Schedule: Thursdays | 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM | October 8 – December 10, 2026
Location: Siksika Health and Wellness Centre
Facilitators: Malvern Nyamande, Tyane Red Gun, Keyvin Water Chief
Program objectives include:
- Strengthening family relationships through responsible parenting
- Using cultural teachings to foster identity, self-worth, and purpose
- Providing tools to improve communication, decision-making, and nurturing
- Encouraging positive change through service, wisdom, and teachability
Participants are expected to attend all sessions and engage in group discussions and reflective activities. A certificate of achievement will be awarded upon completion of the program.
