Indigenous Patient Navigation Program

Oki! Siksika Health Services aims to remove barriers and build community-specific capacity for culturally safe services that meet the needs of all Siksika Nation members through the new Patient Navigation Program. As this new program develops, this webpage will continue to be a source for new information related to the program.

Siksika Health Services is hiring a Patient Navigator to reduce barriers and improve well-being for Siksika Nation members in coordinating their access to healthcare services, support patient advocacy, and improve care coordination on and off Nation, across communities, and within Alberta Health Services, with a focus on all services of Siksika Health.

Patient Navigation Hub

This program will develop a Patient Navigation Hub that will host learning tools and resources for Siksika Health Services clinical staff working to advance their own navigational knowledge and culturally safe skills.

“This investment will empower further successes in our work towards improving health care access and health outcomes for Siksika Nation members and our community.”
