Siksika Health Recognizes National Nurses Week

Siksika Health Services recognizes National Nursing Week—an annual celebration of our dedicated nurses who provide quality care for Siksika and the surrounding community. It is held every May to coincide with the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. 

This year’s theme is #WeAnswerTheCall to showcase the many roles that nurses play in a patient’s health-care journey. During the COVID-19 pandemic , our Siksika Health nurses were front and centre, providing holistic care through CDC follow-up, administering immunizations and donning PPE to make sure our Elders and immunocompromised clients were given quality care in the comfort of their homes and at the Siksika Elders Lodge. 

While one week is not enough to truly recognize the impact nurses have on all our lives, this week we share our appreciation and gratitude for all they do.  Thank you!
