Siksika Mental Health Services Children Summer Social Skills Group

DATE: July 19- August 9. 11:00 am to 1:30pm

Location: Chief Crowfoot School

Summer Social Skills Classes at Sensational Fun are community classes open to all Siksika Nation children/adolescents from K-6^th grade. Children of all abilities will be taught social skills in various situations that pertain to that of a child in the community and School!

Students will be able to learn and develop social skills such as:

• Self-regulation
• Emotional regulation
• Problem-solving
• Empathy
• communication skills
• self-management
• appropriate conversation
• Emotional Awareness
• body awareness
• transitioning
• being a part of a group and so much more!

Social skills are taught in indoor and outdoor playground scenarios, group games, arts and crafts, and with a fun theme to incorporate similar interests into friendship building.

We also offer individual counseling to Children/Teens from K-12. For additional information, don’t hesitate to contact the Siksika Mental Health Services team if your child/teen may benefit from our summer social skills group, individual counseling/therapy/psychological services.

Parents can have peace of mind knowing their children are in the hands of the most passionate therapists and experienced Siksika Mental Health staff (Samuel Acquah, Registered Prov. Psychologist, Malvern Nyamande Counsellor, Britany Travis, Registered Psychologist and Maria Red Gun, Registered Provisional Psychologist) Who already provide counseling/therapy and psychological services to Siksika Nation School students. We believe in bringing out the “whole” happy child through meaningful experiences that connect each as an individual and as a group!
