NAAW: Inspiration, Innovation and Inclusion Gathering

The Siksika Addictions program would like to invite Siksika Nation to attend our NAAW (National Addictions Awareness Week) event.
NAAW is a national event that is held annually, usually the third week of November, that highlights solutions to address alcohol and drug misuse. It provides an opportunity to provide education and awareness of addictions to the community. The overall focus is to provide prevention support, talk about treatment and recovery, and look at positive solutions for change.
Service areas will set up booths that have specific topics to Addictions and prevention supports, the youth will have the opportunity to engage in conversation with the teams: i.e., Ask me about Heroin, ask me about Alcohol, etc
The event will take place on Thursday, November 23, 2023, located at the Deerfoot Sportsplex-Gym side. Bagged lunches will be provided. We will also provide incentives and door prizes for the youth.
