DESCRIPTION:Bear Witness Day is a hope inspired event to promote Siksika children’s equity in wellness and to create awareness of inclusivity and acceptance for our children and youth who have extraordinary needs. \nThis annual day of awareness and recognition was started by the First Nations Child & Family Caring Society\, and is celebrated on May 10th each because that is Spirit Bear’s birthday\, and an important date in the history of Jordan’s Principle at the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal. \n“Bear Witness Day honours Jordan River Anderson and invites people of all ages to “Bear Witness” to ensure Jordan’s Principle is fully implemented!” Click to read more\, and stay tuned for information about Bear Witness Day activities on Siksika Nation.
