DESCRIPTION:Siksika Community Wellness and Mental Health are pleased to present another great initiative for Siksikawa: \nNovember 21-25\, 2021 is National Addictions Awareness Week\, and to kick of the festivities\, we will be hosting a clothing drive! \nAs the weather turns colder\, we have friends and neighbours who may appreciate some support with winter gear. If you have winter coats\, sweaters\, snow pants\, boots\, gloves\, toques\, blankets\, bedding\, towels\, new underwear and socks\, slippers\, pants\, etc. that could be generously given a new home\, bring your gently used (or new) clothing to one of our drop-off locations over the coming weeks. All clothing collected will be given to the Siksika Shelter. \nThe team will be set up in various locations across Siksika every Wednesday\, beginning November 3\, 2021. Every bag donated gets your name entered to win our donation raffle. Now is your chance to declutter\, donate and win!

DESCRIPTION:Siksika Mental Health and Community Wellness are excited to host our annual National Addictions Awareness Week volleyball tournament on November 26 & 27\, 2021 at the Siksika Deerfoot Sportsplex. \n \n\nFormat: Co-ed – 4 men\, 2 women per team (to a maximum of 8 teams) \nEntry fee: $200 / team (must pay in full by November 25th). All proceeds will go towards the Siksika Shelter \nPrizes\, merchandise\, player awards will be given to top teams and players. \nPlease note that all players and attendees who are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine (born in 2009 or earlier) must be fully vaccinated (“fully vaccinated” defined as 14+ days after second dose of approved COVID-19 vaccine). Proof of vaccination records (QR codes) will be requested at the time of entry. \nTo get an Alberta verified COVID-19 vaccine record with QR code: \n\nVisit https://covidrecords.alberta.ca/home\nComplete the form – enter your Personal Health Number (Alberta Healthcare Number)\, Date of Birth\, and Date (month/year) of COVID vaccination\nSubmit the completed form\nPrint or save the QR code for future use\n\nIt is recommended that Siksikawa save a copy of their “Proof of Vaccination” QR code to their mobile device\, however if this is not possible\, hardcopies can be printed at the immunization clinic located at the Deerfoot Sportsplex\, Monday & Friday between 10am – 4pm\, and Tuesday-Thursday between 10am-6pm. \nContact Braden Many Bears for more information: 403-499-8605 or bradenmb@siksikahealth.com
