DESCRIPTION:Join us on August 31 and September 1 at the Deerfoot Sportsplex for the Pre-School Screening Sessions \nWhat are Pre-Screenings? \nPre-Screenings are an important aspect in ensuring that your child’s emotional\, social and developmental needs are met prior to them starting our Headstart program or any other nursery/secondary school. Pre-screening includes: \n\nDevelopmental milestones screening for ages 3-5:\n\nBrigance screening tools\, in alignment with schools and scientific evidence\n\n\nCOHI oral health screening\nVision & hearing screening\nVaccinations: ages 4+ can get their preschool vaccinations\, 3 year olds can receive any missing doses from their infant/toddler vaccinations\nDietician onsite for healthy foods education\nHead Start & school registration onsite.\n\nThere will be lots of information\, resources\, treats and activities available to families who attend. \nBook in advance using the form below or by calling 403-734-5616. DESCRIPTION:Siksika Community Health Prenatal classes take place every Wednesday from 12:00 p.m to 2:00 p.m. Lunch will be provided. \n \nLocation: Multipurpose Room at the Siksika Health Centre \nTopics will include:\n– Stages of pregnancy and prenatal essentials\n– Healthy eating and fitness in pregnancy\n– Labour and delivery\n– Postpartum care for mom and baby\n– Breastfeeding and formula feeding\n– Baby development and starting solid foods\n– Traditional parenting \nTraditional naming ceremonies for babies will take place several times per year for those who register for the program. \nTransportation available on request.
