It provides an outlet to help combat addictions and mental health issues during these unprecedented times . It also gives hope and promotes mental wellness by fostering connections with youth\, community members\, and brings families together. \nRegistration: $500.00 entry fee\, nonrefundable deposit of $100.00 due upon team registration. Amount must be paid in full by March 29\, 2023.\nPayments – Cash or EMT payments please send to bmanybears@hotmail.ca use password: volleyballclassic (all lower case\, no spaces) \nTournament rules & regulations\n– Age limit is 16+ (due to the competitiveness)\n– Format is 4 male / 2 female; 2 females must always be on court\n– Max 8 players per team (for merchandise count)\n– Team roster is final after last round robin game is played. No add on’s or exceptions for playoffs\n– There will be 2 pools of 5 teams. The group will meet at Troll Falls Trailhead in Kananaskis\, AB. on Saturday\, March 4. We hope you have join us to experience hiking through a Blackfoot lens—learning about relationship and connection to the land. \nThis hike is rated easy\, it is a  4km round trip that will take approximately  3-4 hours\, with a 178 m elevation. No prior hiking experience is required.  There are 10 spots available and the cost is free. \nWellness Outdoors is an initiative that is supported by Siksika Mental Health & Wellness. Through physical literacy\, the outdoor activities are designed to encourage and support the health and wellbeing of community members through exposure to the healing effects of nature while. \nYouth\, families\, and community members at risk or experiencing mental health difficulties and social isolation can benefit from participating in Wellness Outdoors. The Siksika Sports for All Recreation Program will offer a variety of adaptive sports beginning with a 6-week adaptive lacrosse program. \nThis program will be drop-in style at any time during the event hours. \nThe Autism and Asperger Friendship Society (AFFS)\, which is a program that offers specialized sports\, supports\, and recreational respite to many families with all abilities will assist in the facilitation of the instruction\, equipment purchase and lacrosse instructors. \nThe AFFS coordinators are specialists in the field of disability and sports and are excited to mentor the SN7 youth group so that many adaptable sports will offered and so that SSARP will be sustainable in inclusive programming. \nOther adaptable sports that will be offered to the community will be Goal Ball\, wheelchair basketball\, wheelchair lacrosse\, adaptive running\, sledge hockey and sitting volleyball. \nThe SSARP committee is committed in their dedication to provide this long awaited inclusive sports program so that all Siksika members with all abilities will be given the opportunity to participate in any sport. \nDISCLAIMER: Participants are asked to bring their own caged helmet if possible\, there may be a small number of helmets available for use but this is not a guarantee.
