DESCRIPTION:Our Holiday Hope Team is once again pleased to bring the Holiday Hope Festival of Lights\, this year scheduled to take place at the Siksika Baseball Diamonds from December 16-18. \nThe Holiday Hope Festival of Lights will be a walk-thru event\, with household/cohort groups invited to experience the lights by walking through the display together in their household or cohort. \nSiksika Nation departments are invited to participate by entering the Tree Decorating Contest for attendees to enjoy. Participating departments will provide their own tree\, supplies and decorations\, and then deliver their tree to the venue. The department that has the most public votes will win a prize! \n \nPlease note that COVID-19 public health safety measures will be maintained throughout the event\, in alignment with Siksika’s current COVID risk level. Anyone who is feeling unwell\, or who has been advised to isolate due to COVID-19 risk or exposure\, should not attend the event.

Boxing gloves and hand wraps are provided. \n \nTwo group classes are offered: \n\nMondays & Wednesdays @ 5:00-5:45pm\nMondays & Wednesdays @ 6:00-6:45pm\n\nAt this time\, space is limited to 5 youth participants per class\, to help keep everyone healthy and safe from potential risks associated with COVID-19. Other applicable public health measures include: \n\nAll participants must be fully vaccinated (“fully vaccinated” defined as 14+ days after second dose of approved COVID-19 vaccine). Proof of vaccination (COVID-19 Immunization Record QR Code) will be requested at the gym entrance at the start of each program. DESCRIPTION:The Beginner Muay Thai Program is an introduction to basic skills required for self defense. This class is open to Siksika Nation members ages 12+\, and will focus on providing participants with the essential skills needed to advance in Kickboxing & Muay Thai. Training will include: \n\noffensive techniques\ndefensive tactics\nstrength promotion through core development\n\nThe program is facilitated by Rosario Duck Chief and hosted at the Many Guns Boxing & Fitness Centre (located in the Siksika Business Plaza near the Siksika Trail Market). Participants will need to bring boxing gloves\, hand wraps*\, and a positive attitude. Registration form can be found below 👇🏽 \n*please note that boxing gloves are not required for lessons 1 and 2. For following weeks\, equipment can be purchased through Mike Miles Muay Thai gym\, or the Classic Fight Shop in Calgary\, AB. \nThe program is free for all youth participants (ages 17 and under). Adult participants are asked to make a $10 donation to support the Siksika Nation High School hot lunch program.  \nTwo group classes are offered: \n\nThursdays @ 6:00-7:00pm\nThursdays @ 7:00-8:00pm\n\nAt this time\, space is limited to 5 participants per class\, to help keep everyone healthy and safe from potential risks associated with COVID-19.
