Some examples include: \n\nProviding around-the-clock\, in-home care\, administering and tracking medication\nBringing a loved one to appointments\, delivering groceries\, helping with household chores and maintenance\nSupporting the navigation of the healthcare system\, including working with Home Care to develop a plan of care for the client\nBeing a source of emotional support and companionship\n\nJoin us on February 1 to learn more about how you can support the Siksika Palliative Care program. There are two sessions to choose from to fit your schedule: 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. or 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. \nFood and door prizes will be available. The group will meet at Troll Falls Trailhead in Kananaskis\, AB. on Saturday\, March 4. We hope you have join us to experience hiking through a Blackfoot lens—learning about relationship and connection to the land. \nThis hike is rated easy\, it is a  4km round trip that will take approximately  3-4 hours\, with a 178 m elevation. No prior hiking experience is required.  There are 10 spots available and the cost is free. \nWellness Outdoors is an initiative that is supported by Siksika Mental Health & Wellness. Through physical literacy\, the outdoor activities are designed to encourage and support the health and wellbeing of community members through exposure to the healing effects of nature while. \nYouth\, families\, and community members at risk or experiencing mental health difficulties and social isolation can benefit from participating in Wellness Outdoors. The goal is to restore our relationship with creation. Siksika Mental Health & Wellness will cover the costs for the event (registration fee\, outdoor equipment\,) and travel expense. DESCRIPTION:May 5th is the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls and Two-Spirit People (MMIWG2S). It is also known as Red Dress Day\, where we wear red or display red clothing to honour and remember missing and murdered Indigenous women\, girls and two-spirit people and to encourage one another to take action for change. \nWear red and join us at 10:30 a.m. at the Siksika Deerfoot Sportsplex 5k cross-country trail as we walk in remembrance of our loved ones. After the walk\, there will a special ceremony at the Blackfoot Invitational.
