DESCRIPTION:Siksika Community Wellness and Mental Health are pleased to present another great initiative for Siksikawa: \nNovember 21-25\, 2021 is National Addictions Awareness Week\, and to kick of the festivities\, we will be hosting a clothing drive! \nAs the weather turns colder\, we have friends and neighbours who may appreciate some support with winter gear. If you have winter coats\, sweaters\, snow pants\, boots\, gloves\, toques\, blankets\, bedding\, towels\, new underwear and socks\, slippers\, pants\, etc. that could be generously given a new home\, bring your gently used (or new) clothing to one of our drop-off locations over the coming weeks. All clothing collected will be given to the Siksika Shelter. \nThe team will be set up in various locations across Siksika every Wednesday\, beginning November 3\, 2021. Every bag donated gets your name entered to win our donation raffle. Now is your chance to declutter\, donate and win!

DESCRIPTION:The SN7 Youth Boxing Club is an introduction to boxing for Siksika Nation members ages 12-17. Registration form can be found below 👇🏽 \nThe program is hosted at the Many Guns Boxing & Fitness Centre (located in the Siksika Business Plaza near the Siksika Trail Market)\, in partnership with the Olympus Boxing Club. Boxing gloves and hand wraps are provided. \n \nTwo group classes are offered: \n\nMondays & Wednesdays @ 5:00-5:45pm\nMondays & Wednesdays @ 6:00-6:45pm\n\nAt this time\, space is limited to 5 youth participants per class\, to help keep everyone healthy and safe from potential risks associated with COVID-19. Other applicable public health measures include: \n\nAll participants must be fully vaccinated (“fully vaccinated” defined as 14+ days after second dose of approved COVID-19 vaccine). Proof of vaccination (COVID-19 Immunization Record QR Code) will be requested at the gym entrance at the start of each program. A negative COVID-19 test will not be accepted as an alternative at this time.\nAll participants will be required to participate in health screening prior to entry\, which involves a health status questionnaire and temperature check. Those who do not pass the health screening (fail screening questionnaire or temperature reading of 38+ degrees) will be denied entry to the building.\nParticipants will need to come dressed for their workout or exercise class; the washroom is not to be used as a change room until further notice.\nParticipants are to wear face masks in the building until their activity begins.\nParticipants are to bring their own water\, as the water fountain is not in use at this time.\n\nComplete this form to register.
