Siksika, at this time there is a high risk for community transmission of COVID-19 on the Nation. In an effort to prevent further spread of infection, the following health measures will be put in place, effective July 2, 2020:

People who live and/or work in Siksika should limit all non-essential travel between Siksika and other cities/towns, including Strathmore, Calgary, Edmonton, etc. It is of course important to stay in contact with family and friends, but from a distance.

Gatherings of any type – both indoor and outdoor – should be limited to 10 people or fewer who are not from the same household. Gatherings should only be permitted if the space and activity permits physical distancing of at least 2 metres between people, frequent hand washing, regular cleaning and disinfection, and other public health measures.

Limit all non-essential in-person meetings. Workplaces, programs and services should adopt virtual meetings for regular business as much as possible.
These measures are in addition to, not instead of existing measures: isolate if you are sick and get tested for COVID-19 if you experience any new or change in symptoms; keep 2 metres distance; wear a mask when 2 metres distance is not possible; wash your hands very often with soap and water; and clean and disinfect common surfaces regularly.
